Ready to Become a Peer Mentor?

Currently we are seeking individuals to join our team for the Summer 2021 - Spring 2022 school year. The Peer Mentor Experience is both a unique honor and an opportunity for personal and professional growth. Peer Mentors aid students in the transition to Florida International University and throughout their first semester of college. They are a great resource for students in and outside of the classroom.

 

How to Apply

There are four steps in the process of becoming a Peer Mentor for the 2021-2022 academic year.

Step 1:  You must attend one Information Session where you will learn more about the Peer Mentor responsibilities and expectations.

Step 2:  Review the position description and mandatory dates. Beginning Monday, December 21st you can access the online application on Panther Connect, and you must submit your completed application no later than 5pm (EST) on Friday, January 29th, 2021.

Step 3:  After you submit your application, you will be notified via e-mail to sign up for an interview day/time.

Step 4:  If you are selected as a Peer Mentor, you will be notified via email to accept the position.

Peer Mentor Information Sessions

Students who are interested in becoming a Peer Mentor are required to attend a Peer Mentor information session before applying.

All information sessions will be held via Zoom at go.fiu.edu/pminfo.
